Monster High is an American CGI-animated teen monster horror fantasy^[2][3]comedy^[1]television series based on the eponymous fashion doll franchise and its 2022 television film by Mattel and Mattel Television respectively, that aired on Nickelodeon in the United States and globally from October 6, 2022, to October 26, 2024.^[4][5] Shea Fontana, who previously developed the 2018 reboot of Polly Pocket, is its showrunner.

Premise

The series follows Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and Clawdeen Wolf, the respective children of Frankenstein's monster, Count Dracula and a Werewolf, as well as other children of famous mythical monsters as they navigate the hilarity of high school in the hallowed halls of the eponymous Monster High.

  Monster High, a fashion doll and media franchise created by Garrett Sander and released by American toy company Mattel on June 11, 2010, features a variety of fictional characters, many of whom are students at the titular high school. The female characters are classified as Ghouls and the male characters are classified as Mansters. The characters are generally the sons and daughters, or related to monsters that have been popularized in fiction. The now-defunct official website identified six of the characters as Original Ghouls, although a seventh member was often added in films, episodes, and promotional images. In addition to the listed Ghouls and Mansters, there are other characters who have been introduced in the franchise's related media including the web/video and book series. In 2016, Natali Germanotta, sister of singer Lady Gaga, designed Zomby Gaga for the franchise as a partnership with the Born This Way Foundation.^[1]

  Monster High: Great Scarrier Reef (Mattel) is about a party at Monster High, a strange force pulls Lagoona Blue, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, Toralei Stripe, and Gillington "Gil" Webber to the Great Scarrier Reef. It is here that Lagoona must confront her childhood memories, get over her stage fright, and deal with her old enemy Kala Mer'ri as well as the threat of the Kraken that lives nearby.
