Lewis Summers Turner ((1888-12-12)December 12, 1888 – (1951-01-02)January 2, 1951) was a clerk, automobile salesman, Army pilot, barnstormer, airmail pilot, airline pilot, and one of ten recipients of the Airmail Flyers' Medal of Honor.
Early years
Lewis Summers Turner was born on 12 December 1888 in Charleston, Mississippi.[1] He was the first of two children born to Lewis R Turner and Evelyn Mary Summers, both of Mississippi. Turner had one sibling, sister Margaret Evelyn, that was 12 years younger than he. After the death of his father in 1898 his mother remarried to an Attorney named Anselm Helm Jayne and the family moved to Texas.[2]
Military
While in Texas Turner spent two years in the Militia and worked as a Clerk in the 1st Texas Cavalry of the 36th Division.[3] When the draft went into effect in 1917 Turner was working as an automobile salesman and was married to his first wife.[1] He became a cadet at the School of Military Aeronautics, Air Service in Fort Worth, Texas (2-578-629) and later

Lewis Turner (born 3 September 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays for National League North side Farsley Celtic as a right-back; he is also the club captain.[1]
Career
Lewis Turner and his brother Nathan were products of the Leeds United Academy and Lewis Turner went to Boston Spa Academy. He signed his first professional contract for the club on 1 July 2011 and was an unused substitute during a 2–1 victory against Doncaster Rovers during the Football League Cup.[2]
Turner would then go out on loan to Harrogate Town in 2012 and scored his first career goal during a 1–0 win against Boston United. Alongside his brother, he would be loaned out again to Chester for the 2013–14 season.[3]
In July 2014, Turner joined Harrogate Town on a free transfer and would make almost one-hundred league appearances for the club.[4]
