James Dimon (DY-mən; born March 13, 1956) is an American businessman who has been the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of JPMorgan Chase since 2006.

Dimon began his career as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group. After earning an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1982, he joined American Express, working there, under the mentorship of Sandy Weill, until 1985. The following year, at age of 30, Dimon was appointed chief financial officer (CFO) of Commercial Credit and later became the firm's president. He was chief operating officer (COO) of both the insurer Travelers and the brokerage firm Smith Barney from 1990 to 1998, when he became president of Citigroup. Judith Ellen Kent (born 1956) is an American business executive and philanthropist with a background in organizational psychology and marketing. She has held roles in corporate management and philanthropy, and is involved in charitable initiatives through the James and Judith K. Dimon Foundation.

Early life and education

Kent was born in 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland, to a Jewish family.[1][2] Her father, Robert Kent, was a businessman who held interests in insurance and real estate through his company, Kent Companies, based in Rockville, Maryland.[1][2]

Kent attended Tulane University for her undergraduate studies, where she developed an interest in business.[2][3] Following her undergraduate degree, she pursued a master's degree in organizational psychology at the Catholic University of America.[2][3] Kent attended Harvard Business School, where she completed a M.B.A. During her time at Harvard, she met Jamie Dimon,
