Before the pandemic closed theatres, Liz Crowther had been touring in The Disappearing Act around the UK, and the previous year, she’d been in the cast of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Visitors at the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham and The Wisdom Club at Bury St Edmunds Theatre. Liz has played Grandma (and Ensemble) in Michael Morpurgo’s Running Wild, and she has appeared in over 25 plays for the Orange Tree Theatre, including The Memorandum. Currently, Liz is preparing to open in the stage show Es & Flo, in which she’ll be playing Es, at the Wales Millennium Centre this week, starring opposite Doreene Blackstock as Flo, before heading to the Kiln Theatre in June. Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Crowther (born 9 December 1954) is an English actress. She portrayed Lucy Pevensie in the 1967 adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Born in Isleworth, then Middlesex, but now Greater London, England. She is the daughter of comedian Leslie Crowther.

She remains best known for her role as Sonia the receptionist in Shoestring. She has also appeared in Miss Marple, A Very Peculiar Practice, Bergerac, French Fields, Watching, Doctors and Outnumbered.

Crowther was also a regular cast member of the soap opera Family Affairs as Annie Hart from its debut in 1997 until 1999. She also played Sgt Jane Kendall in The Bill for nine months in 1993.

Elizabeth Ann Crowther (born 9 December 1954) is an English theatre actress. Her father was the actor, comedian and presenter Leslie Crowther and her mother was Jean Crowther, actress and dancer.

Theatre work

Beginning her stage career in 1966, Crowther debuted with London Festival Ballet (now English National Ballet), playing Clara, the lead role in the annual production of The Nutcracker. At the time, she was training at Arts Educational Schools, London, where she studied from ages 10–17. She later went on to train at École Jacques Lecoq, Paris, where she focused primarily on mime and physical theatre.

Since then, Crowther has featured in over a hundred theatre productions, touring in England as well as performing internationally.
