Biography and career[]

Josh Clark was born in Bethesda, Maryland. He was trained in acting at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Clark's first screen role was in the 1976 TV movie The Other Side of Victory. Since then he has continued to work primarily in television with guest roles on various series including True Detective, Murder in the First, Justified, Grey's Anatomy, and Hawaii Five-0. However, Clark is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Joseph Carey on Star Trek: Voyager.

  Josh Clark wanted to be a professional writer since his third-grade teacher told him a short story he wrote was kind of good. He's written ever since. He's a former senior writer for HowStuffWorks and current co-host of the Stuff You Should Know podcast. Josh lives with his wife, Umi. The pair really, really enjoys traveling, solving mysteries, having pizza parties and visiting museums (both renowned and obscure). Josh has been to the real-life house that served as the Robin's Nest on "Magnum, P.I." and is on an indefinite hiatus from being a jerk.

  Josh Clark is a designer specializing in mobile design strategy and user experience. He's author of "Tapworthy: Designing Great iPhone Apps" (O'Reilly, 2010) and "Best iPhone Apps" (O'Reilly, 2009). Josh's outfit Global Moxie offers consulting services and workshops to help media companies, design agencies, and creative organizations build tapworthy mobile apps and effective websites, with clients including eBay and Nokia.
