Edith Wilson (néeBolling, formerly Galt; October 15, 1872 – December 28, 1961) was the first lady of the United States from 1915 to 1921 and the second wife of President Woodrow Wilson. She married the widower Wilson in December 1915, during his first term as president. Edith Wilson played an influential role in President Wilson's administration following the severe stroke he suffered in October 1919. For the remainder of her husband's presidency, she managed the office of the president, a role she later described as a "stewardship", and determined which communications and matters of state were important enough to bring to the attention of the bedridden president.[1][2]

Jane Edith Wilson was an accomplished actress, noted for her comedic timing in her roles for television shows. Wilson kickstarted her acting career with roles in various television comedies, such as "Coach" (1988-1997) and "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998). She also appeared in the TV movie "Invisible Child" (Lifetime, 1998). She also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in the drama "The Next Step" (1997) with Rick Negron. She next focused her entertainment career on film, appearing in the comedy "Eight Legged Freaks" (2002) with David Arquette and the Leonardo DiCaprio smash hit crime feature "Catch Me If You Can" (2002). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Oliver Beene" (Fox, 2002-04). She also appeared in "Janeane from Des Moines" (2012). Wilson most recently acted on "The Crazy Ones" (CBS, 2013-14).
